Holistic Development

Learning music is not just a lesson or a recording session – it’s an opportunity for growth and expression. Learning and performing music is an important part of a person’s holistic development and has been identified as such for centuries. In addition to technical skills, we believe music provides: Cognitive development including concentration and muscle memory; Cooperative learning; Abstract mathematical concepts applied to time and sound; Creative thinking; Discipline and task-oriented planning; Appreciation for, and involvement in, the arts; and Personal empowerment. This is why we encourage students to take on extra projects because the intrinsic value of such activities to help them grow into confident, capable musicians. We reward student motivation and growth with a special reward system and offer fun, lasting experiences that provide students and recording musicians new ways to engage with their community. Learning music also helps to combat isolation and correctible behavior in a fast-paced digital society. We recognize the significance of local musicians and support them with real stage experiences, state-of-the-art equipment, industry standard software, and expertise in copyright and distribution needs.
